Fastest husband/wife marathon relay team?

    So, someone told me that Kim Smith is engaged to Pat Tarpy.

    Looking at their half-marathon times makes me realize they would team up to run under 2:11. Kim has run 1:07:11 at Philly this fall, and Tarpy ran 1:03:25 in New Bedford a couple years ago.

    I know these times were run before they married, but what other couples could beat that? I'm sure there are some powerful East African couples out there.

    Adam and Kara = 1:04:52 + 1:08:05 = 2:12:57

    Pat and Kim = 1:03:25 = 1:07:11 = 2:10:36

    Sileshi Sihine - 61:14 (world champs 2005)

    Tirunesh Dibaba - No HM, but has 46:28 WR for 15K on road. equivalent to about a 66:50.

    => 2:08:04.

    Sihine's PR was from a world championship race so he could probably run faster in a time trial type race.

    Sorry about that, I was too lazy to type out "World Championships". He was 4th in the race.
