Was looking at the age-groupers and saw that the first F50-59 beat the first M50-59 by 2 minutes! Betty Geiger of NC, 26:09 for a 5:33/mi pace.

Then looked up the course records:

She beat Joan Benoit-Samuelson's old F50-54 record by a whopping 79 seconds!

Nice run run for Peacock. I did not know he was running pro.

Betty Geiger is the former Betty Jo Springs, NCAA Champ at NC State long ago.. married her high school and college coach, Rollie Geiger.

who is tim ritchey?

Tim graduated from BC 2 yrs ago. Think he's an assistant there now. He ran a 65 at the BAA half in Oct and won the New England Cross a couple of weeks ago. Noticed he's running for BAA w/out a sponsor.
