Agreed. There was nothing wrong with the Craven piece, Bairu and Solinsky come off as petty and way over protective of Schumacher. Grown men who can't take a constructive critique of their coach.

I saw it and thought so what...I don't know why anyone else wouldn't think the same - perhaps you're truly the only "impressionable" one out there? Take some deep breaths and try to relax...boy did you get worked-up over something so petty...

Sorry, Simon and Solinsky were both in the right to defend Jerry. Craven the coward took out the offensive quote from his article after getting slammed. Craven even said on Simon's FB he stands by the quote and then cowardly pulled the quote out of the article less than 3 hours later.

Regardless, this was not something to put on Facebook. At all. Solinsky mentions that he agrees that the intent was not to hurt Jerry at all. I hadn't even seen the article before Bairu put it up, but I read it after that to see what all the fuss was about.

The post bashing Craven will generate more negative attention as a result of the openly dirty laundry.

Ever think that Craven might have not realized that the quote, whatever it was, was offensive? Could have avoided this debacle, I hope Simon's words are the quote of the day tomorrow, then watch him back pedal.

Here's an idea: if you're not actually friends with Bairu don't add him on Facebook. There's a difference between things people post on FB and a public forum, even though you were able to see it because you creepily friend famous runners.

That is besides the point. His Facebook page is a very public page. This is not the only thread on this subject. A friend request is a two way street, so your point is moot.

Kraven's "piece" on FloTrack was overall very weak, and his Jerry quote was not at all damaging to Jerry or the "Badger Family". Anyone who knows anything about Jerry would not let this poorly written article or quote taint their impression of him.

Simon's comeback and comments were in very poor taste. What ever happened to a personal conversation/phone call/email/text message about something you didn't like with the person who said/wrote it? Posting your concerns for the whole world to see about personal issues is very immature and unprofessional. A simple phone call or text from one Badger Brother to another could have solved this issue in seconds. I'm hoping the current crew is learning better social skills than it appears Jerry's kids did.
