It’s just a measure of public opinion. It’s certainly not “deciding” the matter

both groups only have 1 super star at a time and they ruin runners. If they dope, their using the wrong drugs, but they should be embarassed to ruin such talent so none dope

The biggest case against Salazar is Farah. Can anyone else name an African who went from 13:07 to 12:53 between the ages of 26 and 28?
Pretty much every African in the history of the sport who ran under 13:00 ... the difference is they all claimed to be 18 or 19 to claim a "WJR".

Talk about conjecture.
Who is /:;(66$75347)&86 what is the message?
The people who are so quick to believe in the honesty of people they have never met amuse me. They are like little kids who will do anything to keep Santa Claus alive in their idealistic minds. If you truly think that doping has not penetrated the elite ranks of US distance running then you are admitting that you have never really been involved with that world and are making wild conjectures of your own. At the very least, AlSal's group is toeing the "ethically questionable" line.
Re Salazar, yes, in a very systematic way ... Read his Duke paper, he sits very firmly in the middle group he write of ... This guy is a deceitful egomaniac who should be pushed out of the sport.

He should be pushed out of the sport for what, exactly? For writing a paper? Name ONE thing he's done with proof that indicates or calls for him to be pushed out of the sport.
So tired of you brats crying about everyone who is faster than you.
Mary Slaney.
The reason is most people on letsrun don't know. If you're at the meets you have a better idea.
His guys are so drugged its ridiculous. Why do you think so many athletes and coaches leave?
Think of it as those who leave are likely the ones with morals. The ones who stay make a deal with the devil.

I don't know what was in there but neither do you. What I'm sayin is there's no proof of anything. I'm not saying he's clean or about his athletes. But there isn't any evidence one way or the other.
don't think either group doped.
Salazar. Yep, oh yes
Anyone else, I don't know, except Paula Radcliffe for sure a doper.
"You didn't do that doping by yourself."
What has been seen for years is that distance events (10000m and WXC so far) are being phased out because non-East Africans can't compete, the EAs have "genetic" advantages, advantages of living in altitude all their lives, "advantages" of having to walk everywhere as a child...
...all except for one program in Portland, run by a coach who ran for the doped Athletics West, employed by the same company (Nike) that bankrolled the doped Athletics West program, and who also happens to be on the mailing list of Victor Conte?
This defies credulity.
But it's not just Salazar. You need chemists, labs (to pretest athletes to determine that they won't get caught), MDs to give prescriptions and fake TUEs to the IAAF... His employer would have to be involved to the same extent that the Federation is involved in Jamaica.
You don't need a doctor or to be a genius to pass an EPO test. They can take a micro dose at night and pee clean in the morning, without a problem at all. But I don't think top guys like that mess with EPO as much anymore and just do good ol' fashioned blood transfusions. If they were clean, they'd be approaching 26:00 "dirty."
The thyroid issues raise a yellow flag, due to HGH (another commonly abused endurance drug) screwing up the bodies' own thyroid production.

With all due respect, this thread is a waste of your time. It's a well known FACT that ALL LetsRun posters think EVERY runner is doping.
Well, all but myself. I chime in with sarcastic and annoying remarks just to combat all the cynical idiots who accuse everyone of being a drug cheat.
I have absolutely no concrete proof that anyone is doping, so I can only assume that both Salazar's and Schumacher's groups are clean. Anyone else not currently making that assumption is an idiot.

LRC Rule of Thumb: Everyone faster than me must be doping.
No and no.
They may try some things that would be borderline/undefined but are not crossing the line into illegal substances.
Of course we don't know but that's my opinion.
Bump.
