Pardon me at least dunked under 2:09.

True they changed the 5th Avenue section but that was almost 10 years ago now. Not new news

Relax team. The course used to enter the park at 102d, now course enters at 90th, thus eliminating a some turn, some roll and making the climb to the resevoir long but gradual.
MEB we love you!!!!

And you keep your Olympic silver medal where?
Lol, you didn't get the joke apparently.
7th place is not impressive. Not after winning 2 years ago.
Does he actually run in sketchers?
Excellent race, Meb!
A true professional. Never count the man out.

Great run once again.
He is damn consistent. Now a PR and he's closer to 40 than 30.
Good for Meb. I was a bit irked with the announcers who said (when he was still a couple minutes out) that he was going to destroy his old PR. I was thinking that 2:08 would be really cool for him...but no, they were wrong; at least he still got his PR. I would love to see him go run a faster course and get a 2:08 or 2:07 even.

No, them sponsoring him means he gets to run in whatever brand of shoes he wants to.

I don't understand what the big deal is. 2:09 is not that great for an African born Marathon runner.

I dont think anyone got your "joke" chief.

Oh I GOT the joke.
Congrats on the PR. He hung in with the big dogs as long as he could. He was gutsy to hang on that long and would have gotten a bigger PR if have not burned out and dropped sooner. It was a solid performance and good run.
I give Meb credit for a real good effort. I haven't been a big Meb fan, but I have to admit he's growing on me. He trains hard and always emptys the tank on race day. Maybe I'll even read his book. Anyone here read it yet? If so, give us a review.
I'm a huge Meb fan. He's gotten nothing but the short end of the stick from everyone but himself, and that's not just a dick joke. Maybe it is. I don't even know anymore.
The dude works hard and keeps believin. I wish nothing but the very best for him. He's the 2nd most accomplished American runner right now (to Lagat). I'd love to see him bring home another medal.
