This year we will see history. Footlocker has never had a black Champion, and with those two boys from NJ and IN running it looks like it may finally happy. It is going to be nice to see history. First a black president and now a black FL champion, what is next.

Maybe the OP was thinking "African-American". Unfortunately, neither the president nor Mr Cheserek is 100% "black" AND "African-American"...so maybe he didn't mean that either.
In any case, we have already had a black champion, an Arab champion (Abdul Alzindani from Dearborn, MI), and obviously many white champions. Will we ever see an Asian-American champion?

Yep.
Abdirizak Mohamud won in 1996 and 1997. First male to win two times. And I think the first 'black' winner. If I remember right, he was an inner city dude that just wanted to play basketball, still kicked Jorge Torres' butt, and was never heard from after graduating high school.
And if one wants to debate 'black' vs. 'African', Solomon Haile is pretty much in the same boat as Cheserek and Zeinasellassie.

According to my research, a lot of Hawaiians are of Asian descent, and her last name suggests that she was. And Hawaii is in the USA, so if that's the case then she would be Asian-American.

I read the research that other person posted. According to your current scientific research, the last universal female and male common ancestors of modern humans lived somewhere in Africa (maybe Kenya, maybe not), but also lived tens of thousands of years apart from each other (and you have to realize how extraordinarily unlikely it would be for them to actually have been living in the same time and place and to have had children together, as you imply.
But this is one of those memes, isn't it?
