He has officially decided to compete at Footlocker Nationals instead of Nike XC Nationals. I find this pretty interesting considering he got 2nd last year at Nike and Verzbicas graduated. What do you guys think of this decision?
I guess footlocker matters more to him.

Good choice. Footlocker is a much better Championship and setting.
Footlocker is the classic XC championship anyway. Good for Robert.

Cheserker isn't eligible to compete at his state meet- therefore- he shouldn't have competed last year at NXN.
This is a non-issue. He probably wanted to experience both- the real black eye for NXN or FL would be where he chooses to compete next year after experiencing both.

The only reason that he was ineligible to compete at the state meet last year was because his school was ineligible. St. Benedicts takes post-grads and therefore cannot compete in the NJSIAA (state) tournaments. That had nothing to do with him individually and all to do with his school

Agreed but I was responding to when you said that he should be ineligible to compete at NXN. He is eligible as he was last year.

He is eligible to compete for his high school so he is eligible to compete for NXN.
GREAT choice! Footlocker is much more unique than just another team event with names you don't recognize from places you have to really research to find out on a terrible course.
Footlocker is intersting in it's regional concept providing the "team" aspect BUT the emphasis being placed upon individual performance..
