Great move!
It's hard to imagine her having to cut out of a workout "literally miles before" the other girls did! Sounds like she's very optimistic, though.
Will tRg be the next to join Schumacher's group? Get that BQ time like it was nothin'!
Being coached by nikeman is basically equal to being coached by Schumacher, Canova, and Cook combined.

Wow.. we need some details on that workout. These ladies sound like they are into some SERIOUS training.
I guess the Gouchers to Boulder thread was pretty much B.S. other than switching coaches.
"I have had my best years under Alberto"
I wonder how that makes Adam feel...

Someone mentioned seeing pictures on facebook from a "going away" party they assumed was for the Gouchers, but it was actually for the Webbs.

Or...given the injury status of a couple of Jerry's Kids, perhaps some SERIOUS overtraining.
Keep in mind, she's coming from a coach that produced 26:4Xs this season.

Yes but how did they manage to pull "Gouchers to Boulder!" out of their ass?
Tax Runner, someone already beat you to it. You seem to be treated differently here so please have your thread deleted as the other one has taken precedent over this one.
Kara
Ms. Goucher is a fantastic runner and she'll get through this and be stronger than ever.
Anyone else see this as a bit of a slap in the face to Salazar? I am fairly certain after watching Kara and Shalane finish a few races in Eugene they do not get along too well, as in shake everyones hands but each other's kind of thing. I know there was a spoof video made sometime ago, but I really don't think having both these high profile workout horses will be a good move?
I can't speak for Salazar, but I don't think it's a slap in the face. He has plenty of others to focus on. I think Kara is doing the best thing for herself. It makes sense for the top US women to train together leading up to the Olympics and beyond.
Do we have taxing now on this board? This thread is less dominated by stupid/trolling/nasty posts...Cannot believe how much Kara gets hammer when she is one of the few American distance medalists at a time when a number of posters go on and on about how no Americans (US-born) will ever win medals.

This is letsrun. Unfortunately it comes with the territory. Someone will always find something to pick on even if it goes against what they previously bitched about. For example, the top US runners training in separate groups. Well now she's with Flanagan, etc., so let's see what happens. Having people to train with is a good reason to do this.
Kara doesn't really get along with other women, so she has to keep finding new groups to go to in order to have training partners. This group might last to the end of her career, though giving the level of jealously she already has for Shalane, it could implode faster than normal.
I wish Shalane and Lisa the best, Jerry has introduced a landmine to their already unstable training dynamic.
So I guess she's still a Nike runner? I had heard she might be making a move to Sketchers.

That was another rumor just like the one about them moving to Colorado and joining the circus. Don't believe everything you read on letsrun.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
