who's Kathy Jager?
That's funny, because everyone is going to click on this thread thinking you're referring to Evan Jager...but it's not!
After 2 years, she'll still only be 70, so not a big loss.
It's a shame she has to sit out her peak years because of a needless doping suspension
Maybe it's his mom and she's been sneaking some to her son
I thought this was going to be about Mick Jager
Oh Gee, another masters athlete caught cheating. Who'd have thunk it? And BTW, I believe that's the second bust from USATF Masters Nationals this year.
When's the last time anybody here was prescribed an anabolic steroid for a REAL medical condition? Once again, an anabolic steroid, not a corticosteroid like prednisone (sometimes used to treat poison oak).
9/10
elegant actually and opportunistic
Sigh of relief.
I thought this was a reference to Jaromir Jagr complete with typical Let's Run "who cares if it is spelled correctly" status.

What I always wonder about the calls for harsher penalties than the rules call for is -- what would you ask for if the penalties were harsher?
She apparently tested positive 5 yrs ago, and then now again. She got her two year suspension, but you want a life-time ban for her specifically?
I am not soft on drugs, but the rules are there for a reason. So people cannot be given penalties capriciously. If the penalty WAS a lifetime ban, what would you be calling for? A public stoning? The death penalty?
If the rules said a 2nd positive calls for a 2-year suspension, then the USATF DID shit-can her (If they indeed have anything to do with this anymore). They gave her the worst penalty that they could under the rules.

Duh, if anyone tested positive for steroids twice in five years most people on this board would want to give them lifetime bans (although I don't know what any of the circumstances were in this case).
It seemed silly to me at first to want to ban someone in a low level of competition (masters racers), but it's really not fair to the other masters she's competing against.

Good one
I do agree that its not fair to all the master racers . I just want to know why they don't test everyone thats competing at this level. I'm tired of this bull sh*$ cheating.

What a weird thing. 68-year-old using steroids to do better at masters track competitions? Good Lord.
