I know that this is a little soon to post, but I think he will be the best ever. I think he will break all the high national records, mile, 2 mile, 5k, 10k (if he ever runs one), 3k steeple, maybe even the 800. He all also win 2 XC national titles. What do you guys

Unless he gets injured again (he had a stress fracture going into last year's XC season) he will be the greatest of all time. He ran a 1:50 800 with a 50 first lap, 4:03 full mile, 8:42 2 mile indoors, and a 14:02 5k. This was all sophomore year and has 2 more years to improve all of his times.

Who says he'll improve? Its easy to do more mileage and bring down your 5k time but the half-mile is a whole different monster
He's been improving all of his XC times...

There are probably some HSers in Kenya that are better than him. Of course we won't know about them cause they go to school in Kenya instead of here. But, your thread title did not say best in the US.

i've actually talked to him when he was at holmdel this year, and there is now way he is 20. he actually looks like he's 16 or 17
It would be a helluvan accomplishment were he to break the mile record and nearly as impressive were he to break the 2 mile record. I will guess yes to the deuce, no to the mile.
I will go out on less than a limb and bet that many posters will claim he is twenty something based solely on the fact he is not white.

Not so sure about the non-white thing. LV is about as white as they come and it seems like he was constantly accused on these boards of being 20-something. To me it looks more like, "Not born here. Kicking the asses of those who were born here. Let's try to discredit him."

You'd be wrong. LV was in fact overage for his class by 1-2 years (born in January -- depends on the district) and there was far less comment on his age on Letsrun. Every Kenyan kid who competes in the USA in High School or College is accused of being over age on this site based on no data whatsoever.
