Kara and Adam have made the decision to go with the best MARATHON coach in the US even though he has not had the same results on the track. They must figure to chase the dollars over the last couple years.

Bill Squires?
Salazar and Sketchers should combine forces. "It's the S."
Joe Vigil? He coached Deena to the American Record in the marathon, which, in my mind, makes him the best marathon coach in the United States.
From what I understand, the relationship will be as an advisor not a hands on coach. It will be interesting to see if it works. Good luck to all involved.

He coached Deena to an Olympic Medal but not the AR. Terrance was coaching her during her AR. If you take Deena out of Vigil's resume, then he was a complete failure in the marathon. He ran several athletes into the ground with not very much success.
On the other hand Vigil was a genius in Cross-Country and in my opinion, the best the US has ever scene.
Please be a little more vague. It doesn't matter too much at this point who coaches the Gouchers other than you need to be the "insider". Great trolling.
Mahon, Squires, Jones, Hudson, Vigil, Larsen. Someone else?
The "best marathon coach" is the person who gets the athlete to find the most they can from within and use it "on the day". There are many best marathon coaches and there is only one that matters.
And who cares, really? So what? If you have to post such crap, give a name.
this is a funny thread because everyone seems to want to throw out opinions about who the best marathon coach is. why dont we just operate on facts. Bill Squires. End of Thread
True. But Bill is no longer coaching.
That's kind of a critical aspect of the question.

Cougars are protected, no matter how many humans they eat.
So it's becoming clearer they are not LEAVING Portland to move to Boulder as another thread had insinuated and everyone was giving props to the OP.
Brad Hudson.
It is spelled Skechers. Bought the stock at 15 and sold at 40. Maybe I'll go buy some more now that Kara will be running in the Skechers Free.

NO kidding. I haven't read this thread in a few days so maybe some posted some religously offensive stuff I didn't see. The original 4 or 5 posts about God being the best coach was not offensive.
Maybe Satan had something to do with those posts being deleted? You think he is getting jealous over the fact that God is a better coach than he is?
Who does Satan even coach?
MAYEROFF. I think he's Satan's only athlete now.

I guess none of you have thought of a pretty obvious candidate: Bobby McGee.

Not obvious.
They will be exchanging e-mails with Jack Daniels.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
