Well done Ed, fantastic race.
Congratulations, Ed!
Absolutely great job. Amazing.
wtf. seriously.
...and finished in the top 8% of the field yesterday.
I am no fan of the age graded calculators, but I am in awe of his performance for what it is. That's an amazing performance. Can you picture your grandparents at his age running a quarter mile at that pace? I sure as heck can't.
Some people just have good genes. It would be interesting to map his genome. That's an amazing performance.

Indeed.
He beats Sean 'p diddy' combs by 59 minutes. He beats all celebrity politco marathoners except David Petraeus, Rod Blogojevich, and Clarence Thomas.
How does this not make the front page?
That's what I thought- the 100 year old guy stole the headlines.
Amazing time. The guy is a legend.
Would be great to see him interviewed on the front page
Put him on Training Talk.
As I get older and understand how it becomes more and difficult to run as fast as I did when I was younger and even to motivate myself I am more and more in awe of this guy.
Great job, you're my hero.
Congratulations, Ed, on another remarkable race. I can't understand how it's possible for you to do what you do, but I'm so very happy that you can!
Simply an amazing run.
Yes it is obvious that his genes are good, but he works extremely hard at it.

Yep, no disrespect to the 100 year old guy but at that point it simply comes down to who hasn't died yet and can still walk long distances.
Ed works hard for his achievements.
I can see that WR of the 100 year old guy be broken at some point. Ed's record I can see broken only by one guy for the foreseeable future. Ed himself.
Singh is incredible just for finishing, but 3:15 @ 80?!?!?
This should have been front page. Congrats Mr Whitlock! What an inspiration.
I know runners in their 30s and 40s that train seriously and don't run much faster.
FWIW - I said train seriously, not smartly.
Hard work and good genes. What an amazing performance!
