I am confused...
If I were to time my 400s on the way to a 1:10 half marathon, what would I hit every time?
I am coming up with weird numbers when I do this on my calculator.
Thanks guys.

half marathon is roughly 21092.5 meters
= 52.73125 laps of a 400 meter track
70 minutes = 4200 seconds
so about 79.65s / 400
What numbers were you getting?
400 * ((70 * 60) / 21097.5) = 79.6303
You're welcome.

Is that because you can't use it and/or do not know how to do Middle School level division?
What is middle school division?

This is what I was getting, but if you multiply 79 by 4, you get 5.26, which I now realize is not equivalent to 5:26.
HUUUUUUUUGE brain fart. I am sorry. This is where the edit function comes in handy.
I am an idiot.
I promise I have a Maters degree. It just isn't in math... shocking, isn't it..?

"Maters" degree? I hope it's not in English either.
10 second calculation.
1:10 is 2:20 for a full which equals 5:20 pace. 5:20 pace is 80 seconds per 400.

One time, in 7th grade, there was a middle school built in our district and they took half of us kids and shipped us over there. I lost a lot of friends because of the split, but I learned that a real friend isn't one that is a result of proximity. To this day I don't know what happened to all of my former best friends. I hope they're doing okay.

Dude, that is obviously a typo. I am all for tearing a post apart, but give the guy a break.
And I apologize for thinking that a full 'thon was 42185 instead of 42195 meters.

I'm more disappointed that he missed a chance for a joke about what one has to do to earn a Maters degree than I am about any breach of message board etiquette--serious missed opportunity, there.
