In light of the recent IAAF ruling, why are there still male pacers for women? (If the answer is trying to get an OT qualifier, doesn't it seem a bit late for that?) Just pondering.

Why would it be a little too late for OT qualifiers?
Just that the trials are 14 weeks away. I suppose its not too soon, but still.

What do you think's cheaper? A 2:22 girl pacer or a 2:22 guy pacer?
Perhaps it is because Chicago is big enough and has the courage to stand up to the dictator that is the IAAF? Or perhaps not considering Chicago was enforcing the IAAF/Nike uniform rules that are designed to strangle the life out of 99.9% of professional runners.
Not true
Pink man and his crew were tripping over themselves to accomodate the LOGO rules. I was embarrassed for his crew. Capriotti was laughing watching Ryan Hall scramble for a singlet.
Read what I wrote - you just agreed with me. Nike make me sick, and if runners had any balls we would all boycott them.
I don't think Shobukhova, Dibaba and Fukushi care too much about USA OT qualifiers and I don't think any of these women were attempting to beat the world record. Their times will still count as their PB and be considered by their national team selectors Olympic team selection.
Most countries will still accept times set in mixed races as national records too.
