Well, there it is. Racewalking is a relic that hardly anyone participates in and certainly very few care about. And 90% of racewalkers break the rules anyway.
Imagine the pageantry of an Olympic Cross Country race - a sport millions participate in and easily understand.
Why the heck not?
It's too logical and intelligent, that's why they won't do it. But, they will add pole dancing to the Olympics.
But, I agree- have the race in the first week- very beginning of the games.
Adding more distance races would just dilute the talent in all of the races. I'd rather watch the best 10K guys in the world all compete in a single race against each other than have them separated into two separate races.
