Will there be a live stream for the 5th avenue mile?
Will there be a live stream for the 5th avenue mile?
What time is the Fifth Avenue Mile anyway(eastern)? And anyone got a live stream
We asked the NYRR if it would be live and it will not be. They have informed us that race highlights will be available online after 8 pm here:
(which takes you to their livestream page_.
We hope that page doesn't reveal the race winners but we can't guaranteed that it won't. If it doesn't, we might promote a "Come here and watch 5th avenue mile" page next year.
As for the race times, Elite women are 12:50pm and men at 1:05 pm.
Thanks Rojo, appreciate it. Dissapointed that no one has been able to find a live stream or anything to watch the race on, but happy we can at least(somewhere) watch the race. If anyone has a live stream, still waiting..Much appreciated. Thanks guys.
Sad news indeed...
Seriously! We can watch Daegu but right here in the USA no coverage of a one mile race with so many great runners competing? That's too bad, so sad. :(
Network TV has the rights....
Any telecast info ??
Part of the problem with the sport we cannot promote ourselves out of a wet paper bag !!!
they should of defn had a live stream. too bad, could of got a lot of views.
I grew up watching the 5th Avenue Mile live on ABC! Remember those days? I was watching the orignal 5th Avenue Mile (1981) on Youtube and I was amazed how many people were watching the race from the sidewalk! The streets were jammed packed with people. They don't get crowds like that anymore either.
Jenny wins the women's 5th ave mile. Caps off her season!
How sad that the premier Mile event of the year will not be on TV.
Bernard Lagat brings home the Men's 5th Ave Mile Title. Dissapointing there's no live feed of this!

Premier mile event of the season? Let's not get carried away here. I mean, it's a great race, and there aren't a lot of miles on the pro circuit, but it's a road mile at the end of September....
yes , great fall day , crowds , excitement , big time TV , one of the better events for the sport.
lagat wins in 3:50, with torrence and lalou rounding out the top 3 in 3:51-3:52. Jeff See was 4th in 3:52 high or 3:53 low. Rankin led through the half from what I heard. Symmonds died hard and ran 4:00.
Simpson outkicked Uceny in the home stretch for the win, don't recall the time (I want to say around 4:23).
Thanks for the updates! Any info on how Montano, Vessey and Wallace did?
vescey was very very far back. i don't know the time but probably around 4:45.
what about kuiken in womens?
How does Nick struggle in the 1500/mile yet? He's a 1:43 guy.
