That is, under 5:00 in a solo time trial effort. It doesn't have to be easy, but doable.
I said 4:45-4:55 depending on the runner and their ability to stay relaxed, focused, and motivated during the TT.
Coworker said <4:40.
I tended to disagree; perhaps because I have been a solo runner most of my career, and I learned to maintain a high level of focus. I said that I said could have been able to when I ran 4:57 in a race (the first time I broke 5). I felt that I could have showed up to the track, all by myself, a week later slaped on the spikes and did it. Maybe I'm expection.
What are your thoughts?
