I don't know if these guys are actually training for this, but they are running 100, 400, and 1500 meters with blade-like attachments. I think we can assume these guys have no better than excellent regional running ability.

That is a 2:36 mile. I think we have to assume Oscar could do this. I wonder what the IAAF would do about that?
my guess is the first day they wouldnt be able to break 2 mins on a lap. Oscar P has spent years with them to reach an elite level. Despite what people say, about not allowing him to compete because of his advantage, he is pushing himself just as much as any other elite athlete.

Except Pistorius is a normal height and these guys end up being what, 7'5" with the stilts on? Not the same thing at all.
True, not the same. But as close to a comparison as we will get. Anyhow, I think being closer to the ground is an advantage on a 400m oval.

I've seen hobby joggers with more fit physiques than Wayne Rooney, but I'm sure he'd beat them all in a sprint.
I'm interested to see how able bodied 50 sec 400 guys would do in blades. They wouldn't be getting all the advantage that OP does because they've still got the reciprocating mass of their feet to deal with, but it'd be a little closer to science than what we've got so far.
