Unbelievable! Cheering and screaming at the screen! :)
Great result for Hannah England in second too.

Such a great result! Worth getting up to see.
did anybody predict that? Anybody pick her in the contest?
If you did - kudos!
This definitely deserves one of those Letsrun black screens.
Did anybody see the fall? Who caused it?
Poor Uceny must be gutted at losing, particularly as the other favourites fell short.
A really, really great race. One for the ages.

Pretty sure Obiri tumbled, taking Uceny down with her. Terrible. I think we'd have a different world champion had that not happened.
Unreal. Looks like she's on cloud 20 let alone cloud 9!
I'd love to see Jenny's response as she won. Here in the UK the camera went straight to Hannah England to see her response.
Also the British commentator was referring to her as Uceny throughout the last 400. I must have shouted, "It's Simpson, you idiot!" at the screen 100 times, but they didn't hear me...

It was kind of funny as Jenny was more subdued than usual in her response.
I mean her eyes got real BIG but really she was quite sedate for a Jenny Barringer win. Lol.
Big hug from coach Henner though.
Any YouTube links as they become available would be great
That is great news! I need to see this!
A HAPPY FAN!
Someone describe where Uceny was when she fell -- it sounds like she was running strong when it happened? Was it totally not her fault?
Based on the splits it looks like the last 300 was run in 47 which seems rather slow since they have been running 45's in the prelims and finals.
I guess having a strong distance background and living at altitude is very advantageous in getting through the demands of three rounds in a world championship meet

Yeah, I'd love to see this. I was already driving in to work when the race went off.
where's the coverage?
Her blowup at NCAA XC seems like 10 years ago now!
Pantman,
Great photo! Please post more.
