NO PRO MINIMALIST ANSWERS PLEASE!
I want to hear reasoned replies from the other side of the issue, please.
Personally, I think unless you grow up running on dirt trails and paths, and are thin, short, lightweight in build...you are flirting with disaster running in these kinds of shoes.
I also think shoes with too biased a heal and too soft are bad for you too.
There are shoes that strike a balance in cushioning, support, energy return etc., and for each runner that is a different shoe... These minimalist, or uber minimalist shoes...I can't even imagine blissfully hammering a 10 miler up and down mountain grades when I was 16 in those things...
I see this fashionista's running on asphalt river "trails" in these crap shoes, running slow like they are in pain.
A guy passed me last week, going the opposite way, in his Vibram's... I passed him later...walking...barefoot...with his Vibram's in his hands looking pissed and embarrassed. Lol.
