There were 7 heats for the prelims: top 3 and next 3 fastest advance to semis. Martin was in heat 4 while Loxsom was in heat 7.

Looking at the results, I'm surprised by all the times that are barely under 2 minutes or even slower than 2 minutes. I was a 1:58 guy in college and I never even tried out for the track team because I knew I wasn't good enough. If you had suggested that I travel to compete in an international meet, I would have laughed at you.

Yeah this meet is a total sham. I graduated from college over 4 years ago and 5 of the guys in these two heats alone are older than me.

Just because your f**ked up system has age limits doesn't mean others do, or even should. Last time I looked, there wasn't an age restriction on going to University - this meet is for ANYONE in University. The rest of the world doesn't revolve around the NCAA scholarship system.
