I have a difference of a little over 1 shoe size between my left and right foot and was wondering if I should consider buying both size 10 (left foot) and 11 (right) to run in. I've had a lot of smaller issues with my left leg in the past and am hoping that this can be corrected by wearing the proper sized shoe on each foot.

Right now I am running in gel-cumulus 12s and I can definitely notice that my left foot is striking a bit odd due to the ball of my foot being a little farther back than it should. I know everyone's feet aren't quite symmetrical, however, I'm not sure if the difference is usually this large. So what do you guys think?

You must know that big foot is a myth. Don't put any stock in this.

If you think one of your feet is striking at an odd angle due to compensation, it's my belief that you're asking for an injury. You should probably get shoes that fit properly.

I believe Brooks has a program for people with different sized feet- see if your local running store can order them for you. If you're in the Cumulus now, I'd try the Brooks Glycerine- if you decide to go ahead with it.
