I am moving from a sea level city to altitude for work. The timing of my move coincides with the last 4 weeks of marathon training. For those with experience, how would one proceed with training for that last month. My plan was to taper the last 2 weeks before the marathon, and the 2 weeks prior to that get in some decent mileage, workouts (5 x 1 mile, 5 mile tempo at half-marathon pace, etc), and some strong long runs. I know I would have to adjust my running to compensate for the altitude but I'm not sure exactly what to do. Decrease overall mileage, decrease pace on workouts/long runs, increase recovery time for intervals?
