But she also wants to win (she specified that) against stiff competition. 2:27 will not do it. It's not as obvious as you make it out to be.
stiff competition? Mikitenko is what? 40 years old?
Mikitenko was fastest in the world in 2008 (2:19) and 2009 (2:22), had a bad year in 2010, but ran 2:24 in London this year. Paula will need to run faster than 2:27 to beat her.
