I have noticed at the NFL combine that times are electronic but the clocks don't start until the athletes move (self start). This obviously eliminates reaction times from their times so while Chris Johnson has the combine record of 4.24 - his reaction time must be added to make this a more legit mark. Well since the NFL doesn't time those, we don't have an accurate recording; however, I was looking for some estimates to use. I've read elite sprinters are in the .16 range and I saw Larry Fitzgerald on Sport Science get timed at .16. However, I don't want to use this figure for all NFL players because I guarantee the OL's reaction times are not near that fast - prob .2 or higher. Does anyone have any idea on a fair way to adjust these 40 to make them more accurate. I know we will never get them 100% but maybe we can come up with something generic to use that is close.
