Farah has been unstoppale so far this year at 5K and 10K. He has won all races over these distances against quality fields and with always the same tactics - gradually move up and start a strong puch over final 1000M, usually final 600M to 800M.
Similarly, Bekele wins his championship races the same way, but with slightly longer pushes, usually from 2000M in and often running final 4 laps just inside 4 minutes.
The athlete most capable of running the most consecutive sub-61sec laps at the end of races the longest (say final 6 to 6.5 laps) should have the best chance to win vs. Farah and/or Bekele.
So Lagat/Rupp/Solinsky, if you are reading this, perhaps you should gear your training to confidently be able to run the final 6 laps off of sub-13:10/27:10 pace inside 61 secs per lap. Without this type of speed endurance, you stand little chance vs. athletes, such as Farah and Bekele. Also, expect the same from Tadese!
