I'm planning on running tune up races (mostly 2 mile races) for 3-4 weeks to race myself into shape for the bigger races. I also want to do some workouts along with it. is this schedule ok:
sunday - workout (either shorter reps like 300s/400s or longer reps 800-1200)
monday - easy
tuesday - easy
wednesday - race
thursday - longer run, but still easy
friday - workout (either shorter reps or longer reps, depending on how i feel)
saturday - easy
so no really long run (i'm also doubling most days of the week), but still a semi-long run in there, with workouts and then the race would count as my time trial/tempo effort. thoughts?
