100 miles - 100 beers -100 hours

i think 100 beers is an excellent way to get back into running shape. i applaud your commitment.

to be real hard core you need to run 1 mile and drink 1 beer each hour.

This challenge is actually VERY VERY difficult. Obviously it averages 1 beer/mile per hour. That is 24 miles a day and 24 beers a day. That is on pace for a 168 mile/wk.

The 100beers/miles in a week is really hard to complete and this is much more difficult. 4 days and 4 hours, are you f*ing kidding me?

There is no way. you will have to be drunk everytime you run to accomplish this.

100 miles + 100 beers + 100 hours = 1 stroke at 50.

that's 24 miles a day for 4+ days. i would just stick to the weekly thing. this cannot be good

Good luck, sir. As having just completed 100/100/1 week, the best way to do this may just be slog through 24 miles every morning and drink the entire rest of the day.

example:

8am: 25 miles in 3-3.5 hours

11am-noon: lots of carbs, protein water

Noon-8pm: 3 beers an hour for 8 hours.

8pm-10pm: Drink lots of water, juice gatorade

10pm: Pass out

Rinse, repeat * 4

Make sure you have nothing else to think about for 100 hours.

Make sure you have running partners who will not pull you along at too fast of a pace. Consider running with women so you aren't running too fast?

Awful, awful strategy. Definitely break up the runs...25 miles at once for 4 days!? As someone who has done the 100 - 100 in 120 hours I'd say it is certainly doable, and will hopefully attempt it in the near future when I don't have work to care about. But the key are incorporating beers into an otherwise normal schedule, a beer or two before the first run to wake you up. The runs should be as slow as needed on soft surfaces, preferable with a friend or two.

Pace yourself drinking correctly throwing in water and food as needed, think about gels/other recovery items to handle electrolyte balance. Try to get sleep when you can, but for only 4 nights don't worry about a full night of sleep, make sure to get in the beers over sleep. As said before it is difficult, but absolutely doable with the right set-up, and make sure you are not operating any motor vehicles during the week...definitely kills your beer total when you have to be sober to drive somewhere.

I got done with work earlier than expected so I am starting in 5 minutes at 11pm Eastern Time and will thus have to finish an hour earlier, by 3am on Friday.

I plan to run about 12 miles right now, a half mile to the local high school track, 11 miles on the track and a half mile back to the house. This is boring I know but the best way to keep accurate track of my miles.

Then I hope to drink close to 20 beers before going to sleep. I want to get more than 24/24 done during the first day.

Obviously I am not working during these next four days and have no serious obligations to occupy my time so I can focus on this event. I will keep you guys updated on how it is going.

I just ran 10 and half miles, a half mile to thetrack and then 40 laps. Started about 8:45 pace and finished 7:15 pace. My friends came to wTch me and drove me home. Now we are getting ready to drink. I hope to drink about 20 beers before sleeping tonight.

If they were true friends they would have let you run home.

Taking my time, 7 beers in right now....have a ways to go.

No one has been able to spark the message boards with an idea like this since the Rochester kids did a few years ago. I think what worked so well for the was...it was super original to some degree and that I believe they both had their friends update the board. It gave a sense of realism when someone else was posting.

Here's to hoping this thread takes off, but seriously dude, find a friend to post for you. You've got work to do.

Oh yeah, and as a decent human being - you probably/definitely shouldn't do this.

The PBR hit harder than expected....I only drank 11 beers before passing out last night and then wasted close to 9 hours sleeping. It's 1 pm eastern time now, I just drank a beer to wake up. So I'm 14 hours in and have 10.5 miles and 12 beers down....I have a ways to go!!!!
