Can someone give some idea of the schedule of a typical athlete who runs a marathon and then runs track races later in the spring/summer. For example, Meb and Browne ran the marathon trials Feb 7....12 weeks later they ran the 10k at Stanford.
In those 12 weeks, what does the training look like?
Something such as:
*2 weeks off/biking/swimming/active rest
*2-4 weeks easy running
*Start up regular training gradually 4 weeks after the marathon?
I'm trying to figure out how soon one can resume "normal" or quality training after a marathon.
Also, would you recomend more recovery after your first marathon or just go on feel?
