Hey everyone, first of all nice board you have here, it seems to witness a lot of activity from a large number of athletes and enthusiasts. Just a few simple questions now. Does anyone know the best times run by juniors for the various middle distant events(800m,1500m,3000m,5000m)?what where the winning times in the Junior championships?and finally When does the cross country season(collegiate) begin for you guys?

If you want to know what the world junior records are for the middle distance events you can pretty much look at the American Records in the events, they are about what the African juniors are capable of.
You are joking, right?
Look at the American times in the 3000m, 5000m(about 40 seconds faster) and see if they are really as close as you think. Even the 1500ms.
The world junior record in the 800m is like the closest one.
Truly I didn't do much research, but 40 seconds faster in the 5000M? I know Sammy Kipketer has busted 13:00 at Carlsbad as an 18 and 19 year old. Are juniors those that are under 18? For some reason I thought it was all teenagers. Even Ritzy came damn near within 40 seconds of the 5000M AR as a junior. Doesn't BK hold it right around 12:58? Are you trying to tell me that Ritz in HS (13:44) was within 6 seconds of the African junior record? I'm being sincere here, is that right?
