I usually train for marathons with a buildup which includes a fair amount of running (100-120 mpw). My job offers nice accommodations for cycling to work and I found it is the quickest way to get in. My question is how much do you think riding 7 miles each way would affect my training if at all.
Would the little bit of riding be a benefit, a hindrance, or would it be neutral?
Typical day would be like this:
Run 5-7 miles
Bike 6-7 miles
Work
Bike 6-7 miles
Run 8-15 miles (sometimes I run from work so running would come before riding)
