O_O
Not yet. He still has to beat him. Bolt could always pull out of the race citing too much pollen in the air. Or he could shut it down at 30m citing a hamstring problem.
you did there
Bolt is supernatural. Don't yo all know that

HE ALREADY BEAT HIM. (Caps so it soaks in because you got the downs.)
Here we go again with the Tyson Gays cheerleaders....please don't forget your pom-poms
World Champs is in Late August calm down or you might soil your pants, because you guys are known for suffering from premature ejaculation.

I agree Bolt is unbeatable. But I think this is the case of Tyson Gay works harder and wants what Bolt has. Should be interesting come the World Champs.
reminder: Tyson beat Bolt last year....oh yea a "back problem" caused Bolt to end his season early. right........

You say that like Gay is peaking early...9.79 in June is exactly where a runner with a PB of 9.69 should be at this time in the year. If he was in the Pre race, he would have easily been low 9.7's as well, if not 9.69. Meanwhile Bolt forgot how to start and only has 3 1/2 months to get his shit together, he should be extremely scared because as of right now he may not even MEDAL in the WC. Bolt ran 9.77 at this time the year he ran his world record, so it will be exciting to see where Tyson ends up this season.
Bolt will definitely medal. It's him vs. Gay at this point, and Gay is leading so far. I expect Bolt to improve more throughout the season than Gay does but it will still be close come WCs.
Bolt doesn't look very fluid while running. Frankly, he looks like crap and he's still running 9.91.

Have some of us forgotten about this race?
It was held on August 6, 2010 and Gay did beat Bolt. Bolt immediately ended his season citing back problems.
Gay is one very underrated runner.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azmj5YLWKBUMullings ran 9.80 with less wind, so there is a question there, as he has now run 9.80/1.3, 9.89/2.0, 9.90/2.0, 9.97/? and another?; however the wind values are from memory, not certain.
He will not get lanes in DL-Europe because of a doping ban.

... and "medal" will definitely not be a verb :/
I agree. We should be excited about strong performances. But I think some of this chatter is garbage and what we all should hope for is for both of these fine gentlemen--the two finest sprinters on the planet, and perhaps history--to be steady and wholly healthy coming into the World Championships. Only then would we have something to truly be excited about and talk about. I still remember the 2007 world champs...
I think Tyson could beat Bolt for the gold this year, but I don't think he'll get Bolt's records. 9.58 and 19.19 are badass.
Bolt doesn't need to peak for trials. The only thing Bolt has to do is train hard untill july, with a few racing breaks in between. His season planning is different then Gay's, since he has an automatic entry for the wc's. If any of you know something about season planning for sprinters you wouldn't talk that Gay vs Bolt crap at this time in the season. Gay is more likely to already running shorter distances and more speedwork in training, whilst Bolt is still more or less in basic training.
Bolt vs Gay is happening in Korea....and not earlier. Simple as that. I for one know where to put my money come that moment.
Also Steve Mullings is on a path destined for early burn out if he continues to run non this crazy scedule of his.
Complaining about soreness after every race for the past 3 weeks, flying from the US to Europe and back in a week..and he needs to be sharp within 3 weeks. Not a wise thing to do. I dare to state that he won't make the team in the individual 100. 200 is a different story.
Gay does have one weakness when he's tired unfortunately.
