Why are all the best women attracted to such jerks?

You sound like the average "nice guy" who has soooo much to offer, but no woman has ever given a chance. Truth is, the "nice guy" is usually a passive aggressive asshole with no confidence. The same old idiots you refer to probably have more confidence than you. You should think about how you carry yourself and concentrate on becoming comfortable in your own skin. Once you figure that out, the ladies will come to you. Don't worry about the other guys.

I disagree with the premise that these are the "best women".

Truth. This describes me about 5 years ago. "Look at me! look at me! I'm a great guy with a great job! I'm in awesome shape and I'm nice guy! Wait? you don't like me enough to return my phone calls? F_CK YOU BITCH!!!"

I found the women come crawling to you when you seriously don't give a shit. Just act like you are too busy all the time to care. When they email you, take a long ass time to reply. When they do call you...keep it short and give mixed signals.

In retrospect, I see my nice-guy behavior as cringe-worthy and douchey. I see my asshole behavior as funny and effective.

If those aren't the traits you project then you will not get as many women interested in you as men who do project these traits.

Maybe I am naive due to the fact that I am married, but that whole game seems tired and annoying.

Why bother with bitches that you have to trick into liking you? Why not just find someone nice?

Guys complain about this frequently, and I really haven't found it to be true.

That is the most ridiculous thing that we have ever heard. There are three of us laughing at this thread right now. All of us have boyfriends/husbands who would be considered successful. 2 were college athletes and one is a surgeon. All three good looking.

You know what all three of us like the most about our better half? Personality. Sense of humor. Empathy.

Fine, call me a sad sack of shit. I speak the truth. I can't remember how many times I treated women with the utmost respect. I played by the rules, tried to say the right things, was compassionate, loyal, and worked my ass off to make a great impression. It got me NOWHERE. Was I pursuing the wrong type of woman? Sometimes...but not all the time.

Games are just that...games. You want women in the game? They have to PLAY. Is this our shitty reality and is this shitty behavior? YES.

Be happy that you are married and you don't have to play the game because a lot of us are still in it.

C'mon man you should be volunteering because it is a good cause or makes you feel good, not to get tail. Most women don't care if you are a fast runner and good student either. Seems to me you're approaching it wrong, like how one approaches getting a job. Well that's no fun. There has to be some sort of a spark and what you have described sounds rather dreary. I guarantee these guys with all the hot girls are pulling down major coin, especially your hubbies.

A rich dude can always pull babes, but you don't have to be wealthy to pull babes either. You can be a rich asshole and get women, but not a poor asshole. If you don't have a lot of money, you have to be enjoyable to be around. Whether that is gut-splitting funny, a great conversationalist, a great lover, or whatever, is up to the individual woman in question. But being boring and unfun doesn't work very well, unless you're rich.

The guys you think are jerks are actually probably pretty cool, and way less self-centered than you are.

Here are my ideas. Maybe you should work on being less judgmental. Not every guy who is bigger and better looking than you is automatically a jerk. Also, maybe you should work on being more self-aware, because you're not a "nice guy," you're a narcissistic prick, and most women can see right through that.
