Sammy Wanjiru's Mom Claims He Was Murdered

Well, given that the original story that he jumped to his death from the second floor of the house came from the police and his wife, that his wife is now saying she wasn't actually there when he jumped, and everything that went on with her, the police and the assault charges a few months ago, it does seem like there could be a chance that maybe she found him with another woman, hit him over the head with something and promised a cut of his money to the police for making the immediate "suicide/he hit his head on the ground after jumping off the balcony because she locked the bedroom door" announcement. That would seem a little more plausible.

Can't believe family 100%. Too many emotions involved, and money issues. US Weekly should pick up this story. Starting to get real interesting.

The fact Sammy's wife ordered three Elin Nordegren Signature Nine Irons was the first clue that something was amiss.

He was a lion on the roads, but it is starting to look like he was a mouse in the middle of a cat fight.

In that situation, wouldn't the other woman immediately accuse the legal wife of murder? If the legal wife was mad enough to kill Sammy, I imagine the home wrecker would probably fear for her life too.

Also, if the legal wife killed him, why would she dump the body over the balcony to make it look like an accident? The balcony isn't that high. Kind of a stretch to think that's the way a murder would be covered up by staging it as an accident. Why not just put the body in the shower and say he slipped in the tub?

If the wife set it up, she would most likely have had somebody else there waiting to carry out the deed.

Also, going back to the original story about the wife supposedly locking Wanjiru and companion in the bedroom: if that were true, the companion would have been right there to witness Wanjiru going out on the balcony and jumping. But there's been no such direct eyewitness account provided (that I'm aware of). I gather the wife is saying that she herself wasn't there when this (supposedly) happened.

Do the police know there is actually another woman? Has she come forward? If everything is based on what the wife says then she is a suspect until the police investigators have a long talk with her. She may be telling the truth, or there is another story that needs to be looked into.

One part of the many stories that don't make sense is that the wife locked Sammy and his mistress in the bedroom. Doesn't a bedroom door lock from the inside, not the outside (at least that's the way it is in virtually every house I've been in). Normally, a bedroom door can't be locked from the outside, only the inside, so if his wife locked the door using the inside knob and then closed the door behind her, it would have been easy for Sammy to get out of the bedroom, but unlocking that same knob.

An article also had a comment from the medical examiner that Sammy had blood coming from his face and a crack in the back of his skull. So either the injury to the back of his head caused blood to leak out his nose or there are two injuries. Perhaps a blow to the back of the head and then landing on his face when pushed of the balcony.

Sad to see him gone.

I too am waiting for an explanation on how one gets locked in a bedroom.

My parents had a keyed bedroom. The key was on the outside. The room had a deadbolt on the inside. The bedroom was looked from the outside when my parents left the house. This is not uncommon.

This will only be further muddled by the fact that Kenya's police force is corrupt as f***. Bribes are par for the course, extrajudicial killings are increasingly common, and whatever gets reported will have to be taken with a nice big grain of salt. I was in Kenya last year and had an unfortunate couple of brushes with this. I'm not saying the cops were involved in the death (that's a big stretch), just that, sadly, the Kenyan police will be the least reliable source in this whole saga.

would she be considered a suspect in Kenya? I doubt we'll ever really know the full story behind this, considering where it took place.

I read somewhere that she went down a set of stairs and locked the metal door/gate thingy at the bottom of the stairs. I believe it was the entry to the home? So it wasn't a normal bedroom door but I don't know if that changes anything. I don't think you could lock someone inside the house from the type of door it was either.

This is getting interesting. Unfortunately, we may never know the entire truth.

Youve got to remember that this is Kenya so the investigation is likely not as thorough as it would be in the US. Also I'm sure things have been "lost in translation" as I have read so many different accounts.

There are many pictures his dead body and he does appear to have a massive wound to the back of the head, along with blood coming out of his nose, ears, and mouth. That would be consistent with a fall. I would hope that the doctor who treated him could tell the difference between injuries sustained in a fall and injuries sustained from being assaulted....hopefully he made it known to the police if he didn't think something added up.
