Hi, I went to Australia on a student exchange where I trained with several top Aussie/Kiwi athletes and am ready to set record-threatening times in the steeplechase. My fitness improved drastically and now I'm ready to race and have the number one time by far for a high schooler in the country this season. Without further ranting, here is the workout that I did in preparation for the steeple. Before this particular workout, I did 8x1mile a week earlier, and a half-marathon at tempo effort in 1:12 two weeks earlier. I did 16 x 400m alternating 400m over 4 steeple barriers and flat 400m. The rest was equal to the length of the previous interval. So it went 400hurdles/flat400 x 8 basically, 6400m of work total.
