I recently ran 20x400m in the following structure:
4 Sets of 5x400m,with 400m recovery jog following sets.
Set 1:
5x400m (78) w/30 sec rest between efforts
Set 2:
5x400m (76) w/30 sec rest
Set 3:
5x400m (74) w/30 sec rest
Set 4:
5x400m (72) w/30 sec rest
Felt comfortable the whole way through, focused on relaxing while running these paces. Using this workout what would be a reasonable 5k prediction (i've never been good at predicting race fitness off these types of workouts)? In addition, what would be considered a good workout to predict 5k pace other than time trials?
