That's a fast relay, they would beat most of our D1 schools. I figured the winning team would run in the low 40s, which is why I questioned the wisdom of Ajee running the 4x8 instead of the open mile. I don't recall Neptune coming close to 9 minutes in the 4x8 or any of the other girls breaking 2:20. You don't have a COA relay with 2:20s legs and expect to make it all up on the anchor; there is a world of difference between a 4x8 and an SMR. I won't say Neptune wasted Ajee becasue I understand the logic of placing the team over the individual, but it is unfair to the individual unless the relay can be competitive.

I'm black, and I am very good at seeing hidden racist comments. There was absolutely nothing racist about the original post. I viewed it as intended: a complement of this young lady's athletic ability.

Yeah, I was there, she went out in 58.9, I believe. Just cruising. Announcer said she had just won the 400 hurdles. Great talent... team made Cal POLY look like a JV squad.
Marlenna is a beast too! She went out in 57 point! just needs a bit more stamina..
Tracey is a phenom, but to be fair she is about to turn 19, so at least a year older than U.S. HS girls. She would still be huge on the college scene.

Rojo, we know you meant it as a high compliment. There was no racism implied or reasonably inferred. I hope mgiusti was just kidding or is overly sensitive.
There is too much hate and racism in the world, let us not convert a heartfelt compliment into a racial slur.

Tracey is amazing. She broke Melaine Walker's meet record at Jamaican Champs in the 400 hurdles. That said, her school, Edwin Allen, recruits for track the way an American private school would for football or basketball, which makes the concentration of talent a bit more understandable.
Yes, it mostly was a joke, but has anyone ever said that Kara Goucher is a beast, or Sara Hall is a beast?
