I have been battling with an injury in my inner thigh for about a month now. I pulled something, went to a PT who gave me a bunch of excercises to strengthen my hip and then said to ease back into running.
Well, I didn't really take it slow and re-injured the same spot (I get a realy tight, uncomfortable feeling on the inside of my leg, from about halfway between the knee up to the groin when I move above a brisk walk) and have decided I want to err on the side of caution and take a full 2 weeks off running.
That said, not doing any sort of aerobic crosstraining is driving me crazy. I have been swimming, but I can't do that everyday. I also have a road bike and have been thinking about taking that out. However, every thread I see that suggests utilizing the bike while recovering from an injury specifically mentions a STATIONARY bike. Is there any reason why a stationary bike would be better for recovery than a road bike? I am yet to try either, but I thought I would see what you all have to say...
