Does her husband/agent (Steve Edwards) have a running background? Apparently he is being fairly vocal about attempting to beat his wifes (Shalane) marathon time (2:28:40) at the Eugene Marathon this weekend. See link below, page 3. Glad that they are being sooo generous with those donations too.....$100 - $500 isn't much....at least not enough to publish and write a story about in the paper.

I hope that 12 y.o. isn't actually sponsored by those companies cause if she has any desire to earn a college scholarship, she's making herself ineligible.
-
Is Flanagon related to Porygon?
-
Not happening. Heard it hear first.
-
My most sincere apology. I meant Flanagan. Whew, it must have been tough to link the two together, I hope you are alright after that true mental struggle.

In a day and age when people complain about having to pay an entry fee because they think they are too fast to have to...actually giving money away for running fast is refreshing regardless of the amount. -

Was I the only one who was disappointed that the woman who crapped herself at the Boston Marathon wasn't Heather Utrata? -

That Winter Vinecki is the Dean Karnazes of youth running around here and her mom is just one of those moms. She's not a standout runner but her mom will tell you her story all day long. And if you don't think she's great it's because you don't care about the fight against cancer. -
Also, success at the age og 12 ensures success later.

Another looser husband living off his wifes running.
Qualified to be a agent ? I dont think so. My wife runs fast , so now Im an agent. -
I'd do it. What the hell background do you need to be an agent- a bunch of good connections..sales ability...so, sounds like he's as qualified as anyone. What, you're jealous of Mr. Edwards?
-
Looks like the Eugene Marathon organizers might want to look up the definition of "autobiography." Or Steve Edwards, if he's the one who used the term.
-
I say tRG takes him down - he'll DNF.
-
"Looser husband," huh? Nioe literacy.

That's strange. UNC doesn't list him as ever being an AA. You might want to get your facts straight before posting again. -
OK - the 12 y.o. is raising $250k, and the professional athlete couple is donating $100-500 -- funny juxtaposition.

I have no idea how flexible he is...
What are the qualifications one needs to be an agent? Seems like anyone can be one (aside from a few pro sports where they have to be approved). Seems to me an agent is someone that negotiates on behalf of his/her client. Having a law degree is probably nice, but not necessary. -
A 1:52 pr and no career other than leeching off Shalane. She certainly didn't marry up.
-
This is the only remaining time on NC All Time list. Maybe he had more at one time and they've been knocked off the list.
