We were at the meet and there definitely was not a wind gauge for the jumps and there was a serious tailwind. There was a wind gauge for the sprints tied in with the timing and all the sprint times were windaided. My coach even ask about it and was told they did not have one. The results from the website list NWI for all the jumps so I agree that the 2.6 for both athletes is made up. They should have at least put different speeds up for the 2 jumpers.
Most of the teams who were at that meet will jump at Lock Haven in two weeks in a pit that is a least a foot low. Last year about a dozen people qualified LJ & TJ for nationals because of the pit being so low yet I think only 1 made all-american.
a coach who was at the meet has to protest the marks.
2.6 is more than 2.0, so I have to ask, what is the limit? 4.0?
