Ran;
500m in 71.6, 2mins jog then 200m in 27.4, 1min jog then 100 in 13.6. Small bit of lactic but nothing too bad, felt strong and was pretty well recovered 5mins later... What are my chances of 1.54 this summer?

good
Not really indicative of anything better than 2:02, but your work ethic shows you've got some room for improvement. Your ability to drop that 13.6 shows you've still got acceleration with fatigue, so keep working on your form, specifically your balance as you fade. I think you can definitely drop near 1:56-7 with some competition later in the year and you never know what you'll pop with some motivation and better racers around you.
Thanks for the replies, also did a session a few days ago of;
400m-54.2, 4mins jog, 300m in 40.2, 3mins jog, 200m in 27.5, 2min jog, 150m in 20.8, 1min jog, 100 in 13.1. 10mins then 4 x 200m off 3mins in 28,7,6,5.
bump.......
Thats a very good workout. With that 154 is not out of reach but its never gonna be easy. Practice executing your race strategy in practice and c how that works it always.helps....just remember u can only plan the first 400 of the 800
If your a mid distance type that runs and occasional 400 then this workouts suggests about 201-2 maybe. But if your a miler 5k guy then i'd say faster 156-7. But I'm sure you could do harder workouts than that, that would indicate a faster time.
