Ok, so 2 days before meets he makes us run extremely hard. the day after a meet where I ran the mile and 2 mile he had us do a 9 mile run. To make matters worse that day was 2 days before a meet. I love running and i work very hard but I draw the line when he makes our best 2 miler run the mile at every dual meet because we need 2 distance events. He forces kids who are trying to get personal bests in the mile run the 4 by 8 insisting that they can run a good 800 ( our 4 by 8 is about at a 9 :10, and that kid runs a 2:20). He was not a runner when he was younger he is just a teacher who "runs" to stay in shape. Also he makes us do 40 minute runs the day before a meet. We walked a little bit yesterday because we did 9 the day before and wanted to be fresh for an invotational. He found out we walked from someone on the team and made us carry cinder blocks to the meet and bring them home. ( no point at all). Honestly i just feel like he is trying to enforce his power on us and the team s getting fed up. our best runner who loves to run is thinking about quiting.
should we tell our athletic director or the head boys track coach about him? or is what hes doing not that bad?
thanks!
