Hi,
Had a bone scan today, diagnosed with a stress fracture in the sacrum. It's been exactly two weeks since it happened. Anyone have advice on how quickly I can come back from this injury? Any general tips on things that can be done to speed up healing? Does taking extra calcium or anything help? If I can walk pain free (which I can), does doing a lot of walking help promote healing, or should I stay off my feet as much as possible?
I would still like to race on the track this summer, even if I won't be in top shape. Oly Trials in early/mid July. Can I start running (if I'm totally pain free) in 4 weeks? 6 weeks? Or am I smoking dope?
