it says UK was chosen based on "academic support and first class facilities."
As a UK student, the outdoor track is subpar at best...many local high schools have better ones. We do have an indoor track (odd length though, 292 meters) though, which not many schools have.
They should have just admitted that they are UK fans and are happy UK is in the final 4.
And obviously they don't know Don Weber that well either...
Good points... But UK's getting a brand new outdoor track for the fall... As for Don Weber he's had a lot of success at coaching the 800m.
Keane isn't the fastest NA 800m high schooler....
but that's a solid duo for Kentucky.
I think the post said they were the two fastest... As in 1) and 2)? Keane was listed as the 2nd fastest in North America for indoors 2011. Keffri was number one. So yeah the two fastest in NA will be a strong duo.
They're from the United Kingdom?
all this time i kept thinking sean keane was a post-collegiate runner since he was running unattached at the UW meets.
Seems like running unattached and training with post-collegiates while still in high school may better prepare you for college. only if you are running fast times that is.
Get with it, The University of Kentucky!
Keane's been running unattached for a while now... Does he train with Neal though?
correction: i should have said running unattached against collegiates and post-collegiates while still being in high school. i guess if you have the opportunity to train with them too that would be sweet. most likely it would be with a post-collegiate cuz i think training with collegiates while in high school violates ncaa rules
Gotcha... gotta love those NCAA rules lol
Yeah and.... ? wrote:

What about Zavon Watkins - 1:50.84?
Yeah, were talking about the 2011 indoor season however.
Keane and Neal are from the same place - Surrey, BC Canada, but do not train together. They both train on their own.
Yah Watkins ran the 1:50.84 after those 2 times, so they are actually 2 and 3 indoors.
We'll see who's faster this summer..Americans Watkins, Thompson or Andrews or these two Canadians.
Hey here is Keffri racing these three (but not Watkins)

will these runners meet in any great border clashes this summer?
we'll see how these 2 do in Kentucky, but it will be interesting to see how fast these two go at 1500 and 800.
Being from the same city, they will be racing against each other all summer.
Are they coming to Arcadia?
They are actually #2/#5 indoors in North America this year, here's the US list-
Not trying to say they aren't an amazing pair of recruits.
