I just hit 40. I run about a 35-36 min 10k. I do have some overstriding and heal striking. However, every attempt to go minimal has led to injury (metatarsal stress fractures and achilles issues). I have a fairly low arch and a short first metatarsal. I have been told that this makes me a bad candidate for minimal/barefoot running and improving to a solid forefoot strike. Any thoughts/experience with less than ideal feet on runners?
