I wear a size 9 on Asics DS Trainers. The previous versions of DS Racers (the red ones) that I wore I had to size down to 8.5 for some reason. Are the new DS Racers the same odd sizing (meaning size 1/2 down)??

bump, anyone?
I might have screwed up, but I always bought 1/2 larger. Seemed to work for me.

The New DS Racers are based on a different shoe, so they do not fit the same as the old ones. I would try them on before buying if possible, as they are definitely not going to fit like the old ones did.
I like my racing shoes snug, so I went down 1/2 size in the current model and was comfortable.
I tried on some dc racers and they fit really snug, more snug than the old ones even at the same size. I tried 1/2 size up and it seems to fit too big in the toe box region. It's almost like I'm in between sizes or have to accept that the new version is more snug and narrow in the midfoot area than the older ds racers.
For what it's worth, I wear 9.5's in 2150/60's and have been wearing 9.5's in the DS Racers. I've had one pair of DS Trainers that were size 9 (from a friend), and they were a bit too small. I agree trying them on is the way to go, but I think you'll be ok getting the same size as your trainers. DS Racers are a great shoe.
