Salazar to coach Lance Armstrong

If that's true that his longest run was 10 miles for a 2:46, that's really impressive...

I feel this is a bad idea for Salazar as Armstrong is somewhat tainted in some people's eyes.

Given they're both on the Nike payroll, I suspect Salazar probably doesn't have much of a choice in the matter.

From a marketing perspective, it's a great idea. And that's all this is: marketing. Which Nike knows a whole lot about.

Yeah, this is obviously a case of Nike personnel helping Nike personnel.

Wasn't Salazar under a lot of suspicion for taking illegal supplements as well... which I certainly believe he was...thus, this is not surprising at all, both like to cheat, and will do so in the most efficient way...

I think Nike is smart here, segregate their questionable population, so they can just lump them together as the cheating group if they get caught... bravo

Really this makes me dislike Nike more than ever before. I'll never buy another pair of Nike Spikes they're light, but they only last 2 months before they start getting holes. The price tag is very unappealing as well.

I couldn't help but throw in a conspiratorial conjecture.

1. Lance is a shill for cycling to get a certain somebody whose initials are LV to ambassador the cleanup of cycling.

2. Lance offers LV a chance to form a team called Team Lance and you know the rest of the story be it Tour de France or Triathlon.

Chew on that for awhile sweetness.
