You're too short. Usain Bolt is 6'5"
Sure. Your shorter than Bolt but taller than Gay.There are a lot of fast short distance runners out there. A lot of that is because there are a lot of short kenyans and Ethiopians out there.

I don't care about sprints. I care about the mile/5k.
Of course. Why would being 6'2" prevent you from running fast?

Your tiny brain will be your downfall, not your height or age.

What do you mean by fast?...are you taller than most elite 5k runners and 1500m runners? Yes, but there are likely a lot of otehr factors that distance you from elite runners. But your height alone wont prevent you from running quickly. I'm a 6'2 1500m runner who is 21 and have run 3:50 for what it is worth...not fast by international standards at all, but I'm enjoying racing and getting better. The majority of runners are not fast, and will not be fast. Just be happy with training and improving.
I am 6'6" and ran under 14'10" for 5000 so far. ANd there is wheating who is 6'5". If you look at the mile i am sure most milers are tall. Look at the international field and look at webb he is short with his 5'9".
There's a fellow by the name of Paul Tergat, who can reportedly run a fast marathon at 6 feet tall.
I'm on a pretty good d1 team and am about 6'2 myself, and have several teammates around my height. we've all run competitively nationally from 1500 - 5k and xc.

Wait. Are you straight or gay?
Can we just all agree that height plays no significant role in speed? I mean you have people like Bolt and Solinsky, who are above 6 feet and then guys like Bekele who are just barely over 5'. It makes no difference.
I think for elite distance running shorter is better. This might just be that ethiopians are dominating the events and tend to be shorter.
Yes.
