AMERICAN WOMEN 4 IN THE TOP 20! great pack run by huddle, lewey boulet and russell 17-18-19
You guys beat me to it! Way to go Shalane...strong, strong performance!
What place as a team? And how'd Aisling Cuffe do?
Fantastic race for Flanagan, strong placings as well for Huddle, L-B, and Russell. I'm surprised Lisa Koll was as far back as she was.
Beating Melkamu is major. Very nicely done.
Seems like USA would have to be 3rd behind Kenya and Ethiopia.
They were, on 57 points I believe, about 30 or so ahead of 4th...Great day of running!

Cuffe was 17th.
Lisa Koll?

Look at the individual results above. How is it not obvious that the US was third after Kenya and Ethiopia?
Wow! Awesome- plus she must have run a fabulous last lap it looked like she was getting gapped/hanging in for top 10 in the 3rd lap footage and then at the finish is in 3rd! To quote another famous American "That was just Balls" Prob gonna be some serious american record breaking this summer.
women 3rd place 57pts
great job Flanagan
lisa 40th
good for her and the other us women in the top 20. now if the US men would just work as hard as the women...and maybe show up to the race. compare:
flanagan is taking bronze at worlds and one of the most heralded US men is running around in a mask in the park in NYC. what's up with that?
Great stuff from Flanagan, also an excellent run from 19 year old Charlotte Purdue in 14th.
To put this in perspective, this is the first time since 2006 that a non-african cracked the top 10.
Is is just me that SF ran much longer than the leaders and possibly could have taken second? Believe me, I am very happy for her. Just my observation, not being a tool.
