im a high school runner and my mom bought me a heart rate monitor recently....ive been wondering how i could use it during my track workouts instead of just tempos and easy runs...the biggest question though is what would you do for recovery in between each repeat or whatever you maybe doing. you know like 400s,16, or 1000 meter repeats. my new coach doesnt even pay attention to recovery he just gives us full for everything..like 4:00s on 400 days..but i know a heart rate monitor can probably give me more precise ways to know if im fully of half recovered (or whatever im aiming for)other than just using general timed rests......im sure someone has some knowledge about this and it would be super if someone could just help me out here
